Puigpunyent, Mallorca

The town of Puigpunyent is located on the eastern slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains in Mallorca, around 10 miles North West of Palma de Mallorca.

The Tramuntana Mountain range is formed by a line of mountains running parallel to the north west coast of Mallorca, the highest of which is Puig Major. The mountains are the source of the island's fresh water which courses down to the islands growing regions where orange, clementine and lemon trees grow. There are also long hillside terraces side by side with the olives and sweet wine producing grapes of the island.

Puigpunyent is rich in natural beauty and the varied landscape offers great opportunities for walkers or cyclists of all abilities to explore the Mallorcan countryside. It has escaped the rapid development that has affected other areas of Mallorca and offers visitors a very traditional Mallorcan experience.

Its location on the island also makes Puigpunyent the ideal starting point for excursions to other areas of Mallorca, including Palma, the beautiful beaches on the south and western coasts, the Mallorcan caves and ancient architectural attractions.

Walking & Cycling
The mild climate and relatively short distances between towns makes Mallorca ideal for walking and cycling, with flat trails as well as hills that would challenge even the fittest in your party.
